The Levin Pistol Club has an indoor range in the heart of Levin where the club meets twice a month. The range has eight bays enabling eight shooters to operate (under the control of one range officer) all at the same time. The range is 25 metres long and targets are fixed on a pulley system which allows shooters wind the targets in and out without having to enter the firing area of the range. The range is used both for practice and for competitions.
Shooters are under the control of a qualified Range Officer at all times. The Range Officer controls when the range is open and closed for shooting
Emphasis is always on safety. Safety includes safety of observers, safety of fellow shooters, and the safety of the individual shooter. All people that join the Levin Pistol Club begin at the indoor .22 shooting range. It is an ideal way to learn the sport of target pistol shooting. It is also a very economical way to participate in the sport. Many club members only shoot indoor .22 calibre because the discipline provides them with everything they want from the sport. Other club members may participate in indoor .22 calibre shooting as well as other disciplines they become involved with.
